The VIII CosmoSur — Cosmology and Gravitation in the Southern Cone — will take place in Valparaíso, Chile, from October 6 to 9 of this year, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in collaboration with the Universidad de Valparaíso.
This event is the eighth edition of a biennial meeting whose previous editions have been held in Rio de Janeiro, Valparaíso, Córdoba, and Salvador. The conference, which is usually attended by around one hundred researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students, aims to bring together scientists from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and other South American countries working in Cosmology, Gravitation, and Astrophysics.
The meeting provides a forum where different research groups can present their work, exchange ideas, and foster new collaborations. It also contributes to the training of students and early-career researchers by encouraging direct interaction with scientists from across the Southern Cone.
