We invite applications for two postdoctoral positions in string theory (with emphasis on the AdS/CFT correspondence) at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the São Paulo State University (IFT-UNESP).
The position is initially for two years and can be renewed, contingently upon performance, for two more years. The salary is comparable (given the cost of living) with salaries for similar positions in Europe and comes with a travel allowance of about $2.7k/year, as well as a one-time relocation subsidy.
The faculty of the IFT-UNESP string theory group are Nathan Berkovits, Andrei Mikhailov, Horatiu Nastase and Pedro Vieira, the same institute that hosts the ICTP-SAIFR (http://www.ictp-saifr.org), and the group maintains close contacts with the nearby group at the University of São Paulo (IF-USP), with faculty member Eduardo Casali.
