Experimentos nos \u00faltimos anos mostraram que certos materiais desse tipo, conhecidos como oxi-calcogenetos, podem ter sua estrutura magn\u00e9tica entendida por modelos de redes de spin do tipo tabuleiro de damas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: inherit; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem;\">Na edi\u00e7\u00e3o de junho do Brazilian Journal of Physics, o f\u00edsico Ant\u00f4nio S\u00e9rgio Pires, da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), apresenta um estudo te\u00f3rico da din\u00e2mica da condutividade de spin em uma rede bidimensional quadricular com dois tipos de s\u00edtios intercalados. A intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre os spins vizinhos da rede inclui um termo de troca anti-sim\u00e9trica, a chamada intera\u00e7\u00e3o de Dzyaloshinskii\u2013Moriya.
