{"id":30884,"date":"2026-03-19T16:11:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T19:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sbfisica.org.br\/v1\/sbf\/?p=30884"},"modified":"2026-03-20T16:56:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T19:56:20","slug":"postdoctoral-opportunities-in-quantum-technologies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sbfisica.org.br\/v1\/sbf\/postdoctoral-opportunities-in-quantum-technologies\/","title":{"rendered":"Postdoctoral Opportunities in Quantum Technologies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are inviting applications for&nbsp;postdoctoral fellowships&nbsp;in the&nbsp;QuaDRA \u2013 Quantum Devices for Research and Applications&nbsp;initiative, a multi-institutional research program funded by the&nbsp;S\u00e3o Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>QuaDRA brings together leading groups in&nbsp;integrated photonics, quantum optics, nanofabrication, and quantum sensing&nbsp;to develop scalable quantum technologies based on&nbsp;silicon nitride, lithium niobate, and emerging 2D materials.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project operates across two main research axes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;QPhoton \u2013 Integrated Quantum Photonics<br>Programmable photonic quantum processors, integrated sources of nonclassical light, and single-photon detectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;QSense \u2013 Quantum Sensors<br>Quantum sensing platforms including optomechanical sensors, magnetometers, and hybrid microwave-to-optical quantum interfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are currently offering&nbsp;up postdoctoral positions&nbsp;in the following research areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;QPhoton-PD1:&nbsp;Quantum light sources in photonic chips and atomic systems<br>\u2022&nbsp;QPhoton-PD2:&nbsp;Integrated nonlinear quantum light sources based on&nbsp;2D materials and SiN photonics<br>\u2022&nbsp;QPhoton-PD3:&nbsp;Advanced characterization and integration of&nbsp;2D materials for quantum photonic sources<br>\u2022&nbsp;QSense-PD4:&nbsp;Hybrid microwave-to-optical quantum transducers and quantum memories<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These projects are carried out across&nbsp;UNICAMP, USP, UFABC, Mackenzie University, and CNPEM, with strong collaboration between institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Fellowship benefits (FAPESP):<br>\u2022 Tax-free stipend:&nbsp;R$ 12,570 \/ month<br>\u2022 Research contingency funds (~R$15k\/year)<br>\u2022 Relocation allowance<br>\u2022 Parental leave and social security reimbursement&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;April 30th, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for researchers with strong backgrounds in areas such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 quantum optics<br>\u2022 integrated photonics<br>\u2022 nanofabrication<br>\u2022 nonlinear optics<br>\u2022 optomechanics<br>\u2022 quantum sensing<br>\u2022 2D materials and nanophotonics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;QuaDRA offers a&nbsp;highly collaborative and internationally connected research environment, with access to advanced nanofabrication, photonics, and cryogenic facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Apply here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/pqiBwCpGJCzVSAxv7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/pqiBwCpGJCzVSAxv7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/pqiBwCpGJCzVSAxv7<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please feel free to&nbsp;share this opportunity with colleagues or recent PhD graduates&nbsp;who may be interested.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are inviting applications for&nbsp;postdoctoral fellowships&nbsp;in the&nbsp;QuaDRA \u2013 Quantum Devices for Research and Applications&nbsp;initiative, a multi-institutional research program funded by the&nbsp;S\u00e3o Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).&nbsp;
