Its interdisciplinary scope has grown to include applications in the life sciences and other fields, bringing together established researchers and young scholars to encourage exchange and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;International Colloquia on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics&nbsp;began in&nbsp;1972, thanks to the efforts of&nbsp;Henri Bacry&nbsp;(Marseille) and&nbsp;Aloysio Janner&nbsp;(Nijmegen).
