The 1997 section of the "Jorge Andre Swieca Summer School" in
Particles and Fields, will be held at Campos de Jordão, a nice mountain
resort in the southest of Brazil (180 km from São Paulo and 220
km from Rio de Janeiro), from February, 16th to 28th, 1997. The School
is sponsored by Sociedade Brasileira de Física (SBF), and supported
by Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível
Superior (CAPES), Centro Latino-Americano de Física (CLAF), Conselho
Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq),
Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo
(FAPESP), Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Rio de Janeiro
(FAPERJ), Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos (FINEP), and International
Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste).

ACCOMMODATIONS
The participants will be charged US$ 850.00 for a two week accommodation
in a double bedroom, including breakfast, lunch, dinner (beverages are
not included) and coffee breaks. All payments must be done upon arrival
at the School.
Some fellowships will be provided for a limited number of participants
from developing countries.
