Barbara) (*additional names will be added) In addition to invited talks (plenary & seminars), short talks, and poster sessions, PASPS V will also feature a few tutorials, particularly useful for students and newcomers. Special event. Particularly interesting for young researchers and students is the ?Meet the Editors? session to take place within PASPS V: two editors of Physical Review B (Dr. Peter Adams being one of them) and Physical Review Letters will present a tutorial for authors and referees (check our web site for more details). In addition, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Physical Review Letters, which turns 50 in July 2008, Dr. Daniel Ucko (PRL) will deliver the talk ?PRL at 50: A history of moving physics forward? in an evening session. By way of reminder, the fifth edition of PASPS will focus on fundamental
spin-dependent phenomena arising from spin-related effects in semiconductors and
magnetic nanostructures. PASPS V will highlight the latest theoretical and
experimental developments in new semiconductor spintronic materials and devices
as well as advances in metallic magnetoelectronics. This event follows the
